How farmers prepare soil before sowing seeds

Soil is the medium in which plants grow.Therefore it is very important to prepare the soil well to ensure a healthy produce .
           The First step in the preparation of soil involves loosening and turning it by the process of tilling or ploughing.After tilling the soil is levelled properly with the help of a wooden or iron leveller.Once the soil is levelled properly the farmer checks the soil for fertility .Farmers improve soil fertility by adding either natural or chemical fertilizers . Fertilizers are usually applied by spraying or through irrigation canals.
